Stormwater Community Reference Panel (SCRP)

To ensure the community has a strong voice in shaping stormwater initiatives, Yarra Ranges Council has established the Stormwater Community Reference Panel (SCRP).

The panel acts as a bridge between Council and the community, providing valuable insights and feedback on projects and policies related to stormwater and flood management.

Panel members are selected through an expression of interest process and bring a mix of knowledge, lived experience and expertise. The panel is made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds to ensure a broad representation of community perspectives.

The SCRP meets three times a year, with each meeting focusing on different aspects of stormwater management.

Objectives of the SCRP:

  • Provide informed and constructive advice on stormwater management issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Stormwater Management Plan (2024-2034).
  • Facilitate community involvement in stormwater projects and studies.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of stormwater management within the community.
