Council have refused an application for the establishment of a Place of Worship at 804 Belgrave-Hallam Road in Narre Warren East. This decision has been appealed by the permit applicant to VCAT, with objector parties notified, and some joined.

A VCAT compulsory conference was undertaken on 13 April 26, with no agreement between parties reached. VCAT Merits Hearing is scheduled between the 6-10 July 2026.
