Capital development grants offer financial assistance to not-for-profit organisations to improve sport and active recreation infrastructure.
Funding is provided as a one off grant with the goal of benefiting sporting and recreation groups as well as the general community.
A capital development grant can cover up to 50% of the total project cost but cannot exceed $30,000.
The 2026/2027 round of Recreation and Sport Capital Development Grants will open on Monday 6th April 2026 at 9:00AM.
Priority will be given to projects that address the following objectives:
Evidence of growth or improvement in female participation, inclusion, accessibility, or engagement of disadvantaged groups.
Council will review applications after 17th May 2026 and notify applicants of the outcome by Late-September 2026. All applicants will be notified via email.
