Privacy
Before dropping off electronic devices, media items or X‑rays, check them for personal information.
You are responsible for ensuring your personal information is removed before disposal.
Items collected through the recycling hubs are sent to specialist recyclers for recycling or safe disposal. This helps recover valuable resources, reduce risk and keep harmful materials out of landfill.
The hubs are designed to take items that cannot be placed into kerbside bins and that are difficult to recycle locally.
The hub contents are regularly collected by our recycling partner. If the chute is full do not leave your items beside the hub. Take them to another drop-off location or come back another day.
Batteries can ignite when crushed inside collection trucks. This can cause fires that put drivers, the community and the environment at risk. The hubs provide a safe disposal option that also allows components to be recycled.
If an item cannot be placed in the hub check Council's online A-Z Waste guide or download a copy of the Yarra Ranges Waste and Recycling Guide(PDF, 5MB) or visit Recycle Mate.
If you have a battery that isn't accepted at our hub visit bcycle for more information.
