Badass Women of the Yarra Ranges:

“If we want respect for women today, we need to recognise the women who shaped our past.”

- She Shapes History

For too long, the women who shaped Australia have been overlooked. Their stories remain untold or written out of the history books completely. It’s time to change that. In collaboration with feminist history nerds She Shapes History, Yarra Ranges Regional Museum presents Badass Women of the Yarra Ranges.

From the first woman to drive the Black Spur, to a pilot who flew from Australia to England and an activist who gained recognition for Aboriginal servicepeople, Yarra Ranges women have challenged the status quo to shape their lives, their communities and Australia for the better.
