Residential Property 4ha+ Waste Services Exemption Application

Before you start

  • It is not an option to opt-out of only one bin or one of the Council waste services.
  • This is an application to be exempt from all Council waste services.
  • In Victoria, it is illegal to dump or bury any kind of waste at a location that isn’t licensed to accept it. This includes private land.
  • Burning or incinerating household waste is banned.
  • It is not appropriate to use public street and park litter bins for household wastes.

Our waste services maximise the material we can recycle or compost and minimise the amount that goes to landfill.

The waste services comply with the Victorian legislation (Circular Economy (Waste Reduction and Recycling) Act 2021) and our Community Waste and Resource Recovery Plan

If you meet the criteria, you may be eligible for an exemption to these services under our Resource Recovery and Waste Services Policy 2023.

Our residential waste services include:

Kerbside Bin Services
