Composting and Worm Farming

Composting can save you money, improve your garden and reduce your impact on the environment.

Worm Farming

A worm can eat its own weight in food every day! Worm farming will require some time and maintenance so ensure you are ready to commit to keeping your worms healthy (and alive) before you start.  Before buying new equipment ask your local Buy, Swap, Sell or Buy Nothing Group if anyone has items they no longer need.

Composting

Turn your food scraps and garden waste into a rich resource for your garden. Whilst kitchen scraps can go into your FOGO bin you can also use some to make your own compost at home. Purchase a purpose-made bin, build your own or find a discarded tub or second hand composter to get started. Using kitchen scraps and a few other materials you're ready to begin making compost.
