ngurrak barring walk - "Ways of Seeing"

Starting at Kalorama Memorial Reserve, we'll head up to Kalorama Park where our beautiful Regeneration - Land Art is located and then return in a stunning scenic loop.

This walk will include/ feature: 

  • Carparking at Kalorama Memorial Reserve 
  • Toilets at both Kalorama Memorial Reserve and Kalorama Park 
  • Anton McMurray's Storm Leave located at Kalorama Memorial Reserve 
  • Drinking fountain available at Kalorama Park 
  • Destiny Point Cafe across the road from Kalorama Park 
  • Silvan Reservoir Lookout at Kalorama Park 
  • A walk through "Land Art' Regeneration: The Listening Place, by TARRMACstudios and FOOKS Landscape Architecture consists of sculpture, designed pathways and revegetation with native species, all designed to integrate with the parkland.

Itinerary:

8:50-9am: Arrive and park at Kalorama Memorial Reserve

9am: Meet at the front of Karwarra Gardens/ Nursery, take a look 'Tawny Frogmouth' a temporary artwork

9:10am: Depart for walk 

9:30am: Arrive at Land Art

9:40-10:00am: Grab a coffee from Destiny's Point Cafe and walk around at own pace

10am: Depart Land Art

10:30am: Arrive back at Kalorama Memorial Reserve
