The intersection of Edward Road and Paynes Road in Chirnside Park is a known high‑risk location, with a history of traffic crashes. A roundabout will be constructed to improve road safety and traffic flow at the intersection.

The project is funded by Federal Roads to Recovery Program and the Victorian State Goverment.

The project will be completed in two stages and will include:

Land acquisition from neighbouring properties
Relocation of services, including AusNet, Telstra, Optus and NBN
Construction of the roundabout and associated road works

Investing in the Upper Yarra Family Centre

The Upper Yarra Family Centre will be undergoing essential roof replacement works to maintain the building’s safety and structural integrity.

To make sure services can continue with minimal disruption, all programs and activities will be temporarily relocated to nearby Yarra Junction Council buildings from 7 April 2026.
