Planning for heatwaves or high fire danger days is important, but not always easy especially when you’re juggling budgets, kids, or pets. Try creating a list of safe, cool places to go and include any costs.

Your list might include family or friends to visit, low cost or free options like cinemas, pools, libraries, Neighbourhood Houses and maybe even an overnight stay during severe forecasts.

Always check you’re not travelling into a high risk bushfire area when choosing where to go.
