Dandenong Ranges Childcare

Dandenong Ranges Childcare is a locally family-owned, operated and managed single-service childcare centre and funded kindergarten at the gateway to the Dandenong Ranges.

We are a 45-place service offering an integrated 3- and 4-year-old funded kindergarten program within a warm, familiar long day care environment. Children can access care before and after their kindergarten sessions and throughout school holidays, supporting consistency, routine and strong relationships with our qualified educators.

Our educational program is guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and is built around play-based learning, intentional teaching and strong relationships. We support children to build confidence, independence, communication skills, emotional regulation, friendships and problem-solving skills as part of their everyday learning.

School readiness is embedded throughout our program, not treated as a separate add-on. Children are supported to develop practical independence, self-help skills, confidence in routines, social awareness and the ability to participate in group learning experiences.

Our large open-plan kindergarten room provides a nurturing space for children to grow, learn and play. Outdoors, children are encouraged to explore, take considered risks in a safe environment, and engage in experiences shaped by their interests. We also offer a weekly Bush Kinder program, where children connect with nature, build resilience and learn within the natural landscape of the Dandenong Ranges.

We participate in the Early Learning Languages Australia program and provide a range of educational incursions and excursions at no additional cost. Meals are provided by the service at no extra charge, and families receive one complimentary kindergarten uniform pack, including a t-shirt, jumper and hat.

Dandenong Ranges Childcare Centre participates in the Victorian Government Free Kinder program. Eligible families enrolled in our funded 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten program receive the Free Kinder contribution as a fee offset to reduce out-of-pocket costs.
