Council is committed to partnering with the communities of Yarra Ranges through its grant programs to encourage, support and sustain diverse cultural, social & community initiatives. These strategic investments through grants then help to create a more connected and healthy community.

This funding policy applies to community sports pavilion projects. It outlines the expectations of financial contributions required when undertaking a major pavilion renewal or upgrade project.

The Kilsyth Recreation Reserve Master Plan was adopted by Council on 12 September 2023.

 

Council has introduced a number of initiatives for customers experiencing financial hardship including:

• Any landowner can access payment plans or rates assistance under Council’s revised Hardship Policy, regardless of land usage, with every application assessed on its merit.
• Assistance can include rates being deferred for 24 months.
• Anyone seeking help through Council’s Hardship Policy won’t be charged penalty interest or have legal action taken on overdue rates for the period of deferral.

At the December 2022 Council Meeting, Council endorsed the final Municipal Recovery Plan (December 2022) which details the actions that were undertaken during the 18 months following the June 2021 storm. 

Commitments were made at the December 2021 Council meeting when the original Municipal Recovery Plan 2021, was presented that the Plan would be updated at regular intervals to reflect the funding received and actions that will be/have been undertaken. 

 

Sets out clear parameters for what expenditure can be reimbursed to Councillors and the process for reimbursement.

The Nature Plan was endorsed at the Council meeting in December 2023.
