Dandenong Ranges Literary Festival

The Dandenong Ranges Literary Festival is a celebration of writers and readers in the Dandenong Ranges and beyond. It features writers and creators with a link to the Dandenong Ranges. There will be opportunities to get involved through author talks, panels and workshops. Hear from inspiring and educating new and emerging writers, who will be showcasing a diversity of literary styles and igniting literary debate and conversation.

This second festival builds on the success of our 2025 inaugural festival.

Children's events will be held during Book Week and school holidays in the Belgrave Library. 

In a special Book Week event titled Choose Your Own Stories,  George Ivanov will take children through his writing process and show them how to plan their own interactive stories at a workshop for 8-12-year-olds on Wednesday, August 26, 4-5pm.

Award-winning author and illustrator Zeno Sworder will be at the Belgrave Library during the September school holidays for a special program for 8-12-year-olds on Wednesday, September 30 from 11am-12pm.

Bookings for both events are essential.

Tickets will be available through the Your Library events page or in person at the Belgrave Library one month before each event.
