Project details

This project will deliver a new community and sports pavilion at the Don Road Reserve in Healesville, along with associated works.  

The project is jointly funded by the Australian Government’s Thriving Suburbs Program and Council. 

 

Project update

Stakeholder engagement has occurred with tenant clubs and community groups and the pavilion design is progressing into the tender phase. 

Broader landscape designs have progressed to support the new pavilion and includes a seating and plaza area. Other supporting works such as club storage and shelters are also in development.

To support the improvements within the reserve civil upgrades such as road sealing, formalised carparking and oval and surrounding drainage will be delivered.

 

Scope of works

The scope of works for this project includes: 

  • change room facilities, inclusive of umpire change facilities and gender-neutral amenities 
  • gymnasium area  
  • first aid/training room 
  • kitchen and canteen facilities 
  • storage rooms 
  • covered spectator viewing area  
  • flexible multipurpose spaces for community group meetings, program activities and community events. 

Associated works include: 

  • landscaping 
  • seating 
  • car parking 
  • oval improvements surrounding the new pavilion.
