Empowering people – Strengthening community

The Upper Yarra Upskilling Program is a free initiative open to all members of the local community. It's designed to equip you with practical skills and knowledge, while also strengthening community capacity. By developing technical, management and leadership skills, you'll become better prepared to sustain local projects, take ownership of community initiatives and ensure their long-term success.

We will offer sessions in a variety of accessible formats, including face-to-face and online options, making it easy for everyone to participate. Topics will be diverse and may include:

  • Developing and writing business cases
  • Grant writing
  • First Nations cultural awareness
  • Understanding planning processes
  • Fundamentals of place-based capital
  • other innovation-focused learning.
