Southern Dandenongs Community Nursery

About

The Southern Dandenongs Nursery is a not-for-profit nursery that grows plants from plant material collected in the Southern Dandenongs area. Tubestock plants are supplied to various local Councils, Melbourne Water, and Landcare, as well as sold to the public and environmental restoration contractors.

Volunteer

Volunteers are integral to running the nursery and new volunteers are welcome to join us on Tuesdays between 9am and 2.30pm, Fridays between 9am and 1pm and Sundays between 9am and midday.

Volunteer activities include:

Plant identification
Plant production
Seed germination
Maintaining nursery hygiene
Occupational health and safety
Seed bank maintenance
Setting out plant orders.
