Acacia verniciflua Varnish Wattle Open medium shrub to small tree, sometimes weeping, young branchlets have broad yellow bands between slightly raised pale yellowish ribs.

Bursaria spinosa ssp. spinosa Sweet Bursaria, Kurwan, Tupy Narrow to rounded shrub or small tree with spines along branches. Plants spinier, smaller leafed in drier sites, larger-leaved & often spineless in moist sites.

Coprosma nitida Shining Coprosma Small dense upright shrub, prostrate in exposed positions. Stiff spiny branches.
Exocarpos cupressiformis Cherry Ballart Large bright yellowish-green shrub. While not parasitic it requires a symbiotic relationship with local grasses to germinate.
