As part of Council’s ongoing investment into recreation facilities, Yarra Ranges Council is renewing the existing Tennis courts, Lighting and Fencing at Upwey South Recreation Reserve. Upwey South is a local recreation reserve which benefits the local sporting club and residents in Upwey South and surrounding areas. This project will greatly benefit ongoing participation in Tennis through the club and coaching at the Upwey South Tennis Club.

The project includes:

• Renewal of six court construction – including surfaces, drainage, lighting, retaining walls and surrounding court fencing for ball control during competition and training.
• The lighting system has been designed to comply with the current Australian Standard for outdoor Tennis (AS 2560.2.1—2003). Club Competition level, Outdoor Tennis.
