Woori Yallock – Sports Field LED Lighting Upgrade

Yarra Ranges Council is committed to improving sport and recreation facilities for the local community, and the installation of an upgraded lighting system is a part of this effort.

The new lighting system will replace the existing failing Metal Halide Lighting with 100 LUX LED (Australian standards AFL), which will significantly reduce energy consumption for the reserve and improve the system performance for community users and local sporting clubs.

This project is a part of a grant application, and if successful, the sports field lighting works will be planned to commence Mid 2026.

Woori Yallock Recreation Reserve is a local recreation reserve managed by Council for the benefit of local sporting clubs and residents in and the surrounding areas.

This project will greatly benefit the growing participation in AFL across the municipality, through the Woori Yallock Football Netball Club who train and play at the reserve.
