Council property leases

Japara Neighbourhood House

Yarra Ranges Council supports more than 300 community and commercial tenants by leasing public properties for a wide range of uses.

The community use Council-owned properties for:

  • preschools and childcare centres
  • community health centres
  • senior citizens centres
  • scout and guide halls
  • sporting pavilions and club rooms
  • community halls and open spaces.

These spaces help foster local engagement, wellbeing and inclusion.

Public Lease Register

To support transparency, Council maintains a Public Lease Register. The register lists current lease agreements for Council-owned or managed properties. It includes community and commercial tenants.

The Public Lease Register only includes properties owned or managed by Council. It does not contain information about non-exclusive tenancy licenses. We update the register quarterly in January, April, July and October.

For more information, contact our Property and Leasing team on 1300 368 333.
