Fundraiser Screening of Kangaroo

St Brigid's Parish Care Group cordially invites you to their 2025 Movie Night fundraiser, which will include a movie screening and light supper, along with opportunity for door and raffle prizes, benefitting our Christmas Hamper Drive. Doors open at 6.30 pm.

In 2024, our team prepared and delivered 120 hampers and care parcels, provided 200 gifts for children, and distributed 60 gifts to aged care residents. Your purchase of Movie Night tickets and participation in our major raffle directly contributes to achieving these goals once again. We are privileged to belong to a compassionate community and wish to formally acknowledge the generous support of businesses that have donated vouchers and products for our raffle. 

About St Brigid's Parish Care Group 

Since our inception in the 1990s, volunteers from the St. Brigid’s Parish Care Group have remained committed to serving the local community through a range of services designed to address individual needs, throughout the calendar year, including: 

· Crisis support and advocacy 

· Preparation and delivery of meals 

· Sponsorship for children attending local schools 

· Financial assistance via bill payments, as well as the distribution of food, medicine, or fuel vouchers 

· Outreach to vulnerable, ill, or disabled individuals, including residents at Holmwood and Estia Health 

· Furthermore, we strive to improve the wellbeing of those in need during the Christmas period by distributing hampers, gifts, meals, and vouchers to families and individuals. 

Our Care Group is exclusively self-funded, relying on the proceeds from fundraising activities as well as contributions from local businesses and community members. With the valuable support of our community and the dedication and commitment of our volunteers, we strive to make a meaningful difference for numerous families throughout the year, with particular emphasis during the Christmas season.

Synopsis:

KANGAROO is a heart-warming family comedy about ex TV personality, Chris Masterman, who becomes stranded in an Outback town outside Alice Springs. There, he teams up with 12-year-old Indigenous girl Charlie.
