All In - Our Community Children's Exhibition

All In - Our Community celebrates the power of community, creativity and the stories we share when we come together.

Developed in collaboration between Yarra Ranges Council and Yaggera artist Jenine Godwin‑Thompson, the exhibition celebrates the cultural curiosity of local kindergarten and school children during National Reconciliation Week 2026.

The 2026 Reconciliation Week theme, All In, calls on every Australian to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. It makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport. It asks each of us to step off the sidelines, take responsibility and contribute to meaningful change.

Through interactive workshops, children from Robyn Jane Children’s Centre, KIN Healesville, KIN Yarra Glen, Steel Street Child Care, St Brigid’s Catholic Primary School, Launching Place Primary School and Queens Place Preschool explored cultural understanding in ways that were tactile, joyful and deeply memorable.

Guided by Jenine, they created raffia people, learning how simple materials can hold meaning, identity, and connection to Country. These moments opened gentle conversations about tradition, respect and the significance of cultural objects within First Nations communities.
