Bush playgroup in Belgrave

Booked out.jpg

Parents of storm impacted children are invited to join a weekly bush playgroup to connect, learn and play in nature.

the program will be held in term three in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges at Birdsland Reserve in Belgrave Heights where children can connect, learn, play and gather in nature.

The Bush Playgroup incorporates hands-on, child-led learning and sensory play through a range of nature-based activities, nature crafts, storytelling, songs and a bush walk exploring.

This bush playgroup is facilitated by Anne, an early childhood educator with Eco Explorers who lives locally and has been running bush playgroups in the Dandenongs for many years.

The program has been developed to give your child optimum opportunity to build their gross motor and physical skills through movement and fine motor skills during our craft activities. Research clearly shows that the more time your child spends in nature, the better they are prepared for school, both physically and emotionally.

The Bush Playgroup will be facilitated by Eco Explorers on behalf of Yarra Ranges Council working in partnership with Mums of the Hills and Anglicare.

When:

Monday 18 July - Monday 15 August, 2022 between 10am-12pm. Five sessions in total

Birdsland Reserve, Mount Morton Road, Belgrave South
