You can dispose of your household paint, batteries, compact fluorescent lamps for free any time of the year at a permanent disposal site at Coldstream Transfer Station.

- Acids and alkalis
- Brake fluid
- Car body filler
- Car wax
- Cleaners - ammonia based
- Cooking oil
- Detergents, disinfectants and drain cleaners

- Floor-care products and waxes
- Fuels - petrol, diesel, kerosene, other
- Glues - water-based and solvents
- Herbicides and weed killers
- Insect spray and pesticides
- Nail polish and remover
- Oven cleaner
- Paint stripper, thinner and turps
- Pool chemicals
- Rat poison
- Transmission fluid
- Wood preservatives and finishes (oil and varnish)
What will mobile detox not accept?
Containers more than 20 litres or chemicals used for commercial, industrial or agricultural purposes, chemical containers, gas bottles, motor oil, asbestos or ammunition. Decanting is not permitted so bring chemicals in disposable containers.

You can dispose of clean, non returnable crop production and animal health chemical drums at the Coldstream Transfer Station.
Containers must have the Drum Muster logo, be free of residue inside and out and have been flushed, pressure rinsed or triple rinsed.
Drop of between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Book an appointment for loads of 50 or more containers.
