    How long can I hire the TrailRider for?

    The chairs can be booked for up to seven days for use in the Dandenongs (Kallista) and the Yarra Valley (Warburton)

    The TrailRider weighs 23kg and requires two people to load it safely into the back of a car.

    It folds down to a size of 172cm. x 82cm. x 61cm.

  • What do I need to provide to use the TrailRider?

    What do I need to provide to use the TrailRider?

    You need at least two people (sherpas) for operating the TrailRider.

    For accessing long and/or steeper trails, additional sherpas are recommended.

    For safety reasons, an Australian Safety Standards approved bike helmet must be worn whilst riding in the TrailRider.

    Chair users are required to provide their own helmet.

    What level of fitness is required of the chair operators (sherpas)?

    A general level of fitness is required for operating the TrailRider chair for reasonably level and short trails. For steeper trails or long trails, a higher level of fitness is recommended.

    It is a requirement that the short instructional videos are viewed at the collection point prior to use of the TrailRider.
