New berms for Lilydale BMX club just around the corner

Published on 30 May 2018

Council is working with Lilydale BMX Club to keep riders on track. Yarra Ranges Mayor, Len Cox recently announced funding for the club to asphalt three track corners (berms) at the Lilydale BMX track on Nelson Road.

The funding will lift the quality of the facility and reduce the demand for track maintenance and help the club increase its membership.

The project will be delivered in partnership by Council and Lilydale BMX Club. Works will start in the coming weeks.

More than 300 riders raced at the Conquer the Valley event hosted by the club on Sunday 27 May.

The track upgrades will make it easier for the club to run future events and attract riders from across Victoria and interstate.
