International Volunteer Day

Published on 06 December 2018

Council celebrated International Volunteer Day yesterday with 150 Meals on Wheels volunteers.

Yarra Ranges Mayor Tony Stevenson awarded Years of Service Awards including one to Mia Jansen for an amazing 40 years of volunteering with Yarra Ranges Council.

Awards were also presented to volunteers for between five to 25 years of service.

Interchange Outer East, which offers respite, support and social opportunities to children and young people with disabilities and their families, was acknowledged for receiving the Premier’s Volunteer Champions Award earlier this year.

All volunteers received a gift and were acknowledged for the fantastic service they give to Yarra Ranges residents.
