Council is building a pump track in Gardner Parade next to the playground and skate park.

Have your say

Join our community consultation session at Mount Evelyn skate park on Saturday 30 June from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

See the track design options and speak with Councillor Tim Heenan, members from Council's project team and track designers from TrailScapes.

What is a pump track?

A pump track is a similar to a BMX track and allows kids to rock back and forward as they go over the humps in the track to keep moving – no pedalling needed!

This style of track is becoming more popular in Australia and is ideal for young children learning to ride their first bike.

The design for the track will include:

  • an all ages circuit
  • a beginner circuit for young children
  • a picnic table setting under a shelter
  • improved car parking
  • a connection to the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail
  • significant revegetation of the site with indigenous planting and landscaping.

The track will be shaped using soil on site and topped with hard wearing gravel to keep the natural look of the local area.
