Owl Lands is home to Australia's largest owl the Powerful Owl. The Powerful Owl nest in large very old (approx. 150 years) tree hollows usually 15 to 40 metres above the ground and at least 50 cm deep.
This bushland reserve has a trail that connects the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail to Hereford Rd in Mt Evelyn. The site is popular for bird watching.
When you have a stroll through Owl Lands be sure to look up high into the old eucalyptus trees and see if you can spot the Powerful Owl.
