Plight of our faunal emblems

28 May 2023 In 2021, Victoria celebrated the 50th anniversary of the declaration of the state’s two faunal emblems. Plight of our faunal emblems: the Helmeted Honeyeater and Leadbeater’s Possum presents a selection of creative responses made by artists, conservationists, and school students to commemorate the faunal emblems’ anniversary.

Taking the time

28 May 2023 Taking the time: handmade objects from the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum collection presents inspiring, important and quirky objects that were made with skills that are rare today. The exhibition features textiles, woodwork, First Nations weaving, signwriting and other objects made for relaxation and solace, to reclaim culture, to gain independence or to connect with others in times of trouble.
