Meet the Artists

Tricia Collins

Tricia Collins started her media career at the age of 17, in Sydney, literally running through the corridors of Channel 7 Epping working on live News. By 21 in “Adland” at Leo Burnett, a year in UK then back, but this time to Melbourne with the iconic Crawford Productions & the world of script, story and TV & Film production.

Tricia trained as a Casting Director with Maura Fay in the early 90’s, followed by in house Casting for the amazing Lyn Bayonas on her many successful children’s series including the now infamous Saddle Club series.

This set the path for the next 25 years. As a working Freelancer Tricia has nurtured and mentored many Actors careers, now enjoying their claim to fame. She has spent the past 30 years in the inner sanctum of Australia’s major productions, Script room, Casting Room, Production Meetings and worked with some of Australia’s and the worlds most well known Directors, Producers and HOD”s – Art Directing a feature film in 2018 – and a move to Senior Agent in house in a large Melbourne agency in 2019, now heading her own Trikat Agency which may be new but it’s run by the most experienced ‘new kid on the block’…

Tricia's professional industry credits include:

La Brea, Clickbait, Leftovers, The Cry, IFrankenstein, and Australian titles such as Phryne Fisher Crypt of Tears, The very Excellent Mr Dundee, Neighbours and kids shows as far back as the three Saddle Clubs!

Joanna Jacobs

Joanna Jacobs, currently working in a high school setting as a passionate caring drama teacher, started her career in the costume departments on live theatre shows at the Melbourne Arts Centre – working across many of Melbourne’s iconic theatres including St Martin’s Theatre.. Soon after running her own children around to professional shows and bringing the lived experience as a mother of a young performer scooped up in live musical theatre and tv. Jo was so passionate about giving children a fair go, and wanting to nurture up-and-coming talent she bought and ran one of Melbourne's oldest children's agencies for over 10 years - there isn't much Jo doesn't know about the advertising world, what kids are required to do and be ready for when the call comes to go to film a commercial or the commitment of all young performers - if you want advice about what you can expect as a parent in the professional industry Jo is your lived experience go to.
