Filmmaker Maggie Fooke’s beloved Brooklyn Arts Hotel in downtown Fitzroy was a 10 room guest accommodation created as a Melbourne base for artist’s and lovers of the arts.

When she reached the difficult financial decision to close the hotel and sell up, Maggie invited former guests and filmmaking friends to join her in documenting Brooklyn’s last 100 days.

Directed and edited by local Warburton filmmakers Belinda Lloyd and Larry Lawson, TO THANK THE ROOM is a reflection on letting go and savouring every last drop along the way.

There will be a Q and A session with Belinda and Larry after the screening, with subject and producer Maggie Fooke joining via video call from Greece.
