A very special NAIDOC Week presentation, this proud Mutti Mutti man is a Songman, not simply a songwriter. One that leaves audiences enthralled with his beautiful voice, charismatic stage presence and a deeper understanding of Australia’s first people.

This survivor of the Stolen Generations creative output in groups like Blackfire and The Black Arm Band has seen his Bidgee’ blues captured in recording collaborations with the likes of Paul Kelly, Paul Hester of Crowded House, and Boom Crash Opera songsmith and producer, Richard Pleasance.

Recognised internationally, back at home Kutcha’s recent on-line sensation, Carpool Koorioke, featuring the likes of Archie Roach, Dan Sultan, Bart Willoughby, and Uncle Jack Charles, followed full houses at the Arts Centre Melbourne for his VIPA award winning theatre work, Songlines of a Mutti Mutti Man.

Returning to the stage with his touring band Kutcha draws on a profound sense of all those who have gone before him, blending a humour and personal insight that touches the soul.  Creating connections across cultures and generations, Kutcha uses his music to bring recognition of the true Aboriginal history and a genuine hope of reconciliation.
