Heart: Finding Home

Write a letter about what home means to you and add it to a growing community artwork. This free, drop-in activity is part of Lilydale Voices, a partnership project led by Eastern Community Legal Centre (ECLC).
Visitors are invited to participate in an interactive letter writing activity which grows over the course of three months. Inspired by Toshi Singh’s exhibition, The Everyday, a letter writing station with materials and instructions is waiting for you to explore and share your thoughts through the written word or drawing.
Your letter might be about moments of joy with your beloved pet, or a favourite home-cooked meal or family tradition. Or home might be more difficult for you—you might be away from home and missing it, or it might raise feelings of injustice. You might have many different feelings at the same time.
The display of letter contributions collected over time will showcase a diverse range of voices and experiences of ‘Home’.
