For Steven Cole, neon runs in the blood. His father created the original Richmond Skipping Girl, Little Audrey, and he has continued the tradition in a contemporary form.

Drawing from his experiences living with anxiety, Cole has created challenging works of neon glass, experimenting with the medium and its illuminating qualities. After years spent working as a neon glassbender, Cole has returned to his artistic roots, showing his work in acclaimed exhibitions over the past few years.

From mind-bending, illusory works such as Anxiety to the minimalist neon lines of Deceit, Cole’s work will engage and challenge you.
