Construction is now complete on a new water play park and playground at the Warburton Community Recreation Precinct. With the success of this Project, now comes Stage 2a, the Road Widening Project, which will widen Woods Point Road and build a right turn lane for improved access to the Warburton Water World.

We are excited to announce we have received a $300,000 grant for this project, from the Victorian Government through Sustainability Victoria’s Sustainable Infrastructure Fund. This pioneering project will utilise innovative and sustainable recycled materials, including recycled road surfacing material, recycled fibre mesh reinforcement, recycled glass aggregate in concrete and recycled plastic pipe for drainage.

We are proud to be strengthening markets for recycled materials through this road widening project. This work is supported by the Victorian Government’s $380 million Recycling Victoria action plan, to transform the state’s recycling sector and create a more prosperous Victoria. We are also delighted to announce that we have also received $400,000 from the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Fund (LRCI Phase two) towards this project.

The Project has now started and is estimated to be Completed in Dec 2021, we are hoping Covid restrictions do not impact the timeline.
