The old facilities were in poor condition and did not conform to current codes and standards. The size and functionality was also restricting growth for sports participation and other community uses. The new pavilion will see a purpose made fully accessible facility that will optimise use, increase patronage and provide a meeting and social space for the community as a whole.

This will be a contemporary facility which fits in with the current and future development works of the reserve and is physically and functionally aligned, to the playing fields and all surrounding activities. It will provide:

  • A two storey pavilion building with views towards both ovals
  • 4 Change Rooms -Unisex Home and visitor, showers and amenities for Football and cricket
  • Undercover access to entry lobby with lift and staircase to reach 1st floor
  • Kiosk & Store room facing Alan Smith Oval
  • Unisex Umpires change room, showers and amenities
  • First aid/medical room and Gym
  • A large semi-commercial kitchen & servery with store on the 1st Floor
  • Storage (External/Internal Access)
  • Unisex Accessible Public toilet, which can serve as internally and externally accessed when required in Ground Floor and separate public toilets in 1st Floor
  • Cleaner Room, bin store and services areas
  • 2 Scorer Rooms facing both ovals on 1st Floor-one facing Alan Smith Oval to be made multifunctional to function as a meeting room.
  • Community /Social Room on 1st Floor with unobstructed views to both ovals
  • Covered spectator viewing areas
  • Externally accessed service areas

The Project is currently in the Construction Phase and this will last 12-14 months, with the new facility anticipated to be ready for use in early 2024.
