Scam warning
Yarra Ranges Council is aware of a third party falsely claiming to represent our organisation over the phone and offering to conduct swimming pool and spa inspections on our behalf.

If you receive a call like this, do not provide any information – it is a scam.

Last year we wrote to residents to outline new State Government registration, inspection and compliance requirements for swimming pools and spas. Unless we are requested to call a resident back, all follow up communication will be done in writing. Read more about pool & spa registration

Step 1.Review pool and spa registration information

New laws introduced by the Victorian Government require property owners to register their swimming pool and spa with Council by 1 November 2020.

Before you start the application process, we recommend reading our list of FAQ for pool and spa registrations. 

Step 2.Complete the online registration

Enter your contact and property details, including information about your pool and when it was constructed.

Step 3.Response

Once your registration is submitted, we will send a confirmation with information on what to do next. 

Due to the number of swimming pool and spas required to be registered with Council there may be a delay in Council's initial response letter to your registration application.
