Council's Health Team will be undertaking impact assessments beginning from today at affected properties throughout the municipality to better understand what additional support we can provide our community.
We will be first visiting properties that will remain without power until early July (at this stage), as these properties are our priority. Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) will be assessing each property against a set criteria including if the property has power, gas, is connected to sewer or has a septic and if they are working efficiently.
We are expecting a Red Cross person to be travelling with us to provide support to residents and the EHO’s as they move through affected areas.
