The School Holiday Program is going online this September.

With Council’s cultural venues are closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, an exciting program of children’s events will be hosted online this month.

There’s something for every child in the program, from musical workshops through to a book launch.

After playing his popular ukulele shows for crowds across the country, Woody Clark is combining all the best parts of a camping holiday into a fun-filled online event.

Join Woody online for Campfire Chaos, a virtual workshop full of quizzes, guessing games and jokes.

Letting Off Steam is the perfect workshop for any scientific children. The Yarra Ranges Regional Museum staff will lead a series of scientific experiments, focusing on gas under pressure. Children can follow along at home in their living room laboratories.

After their popular performances in Montrose last year, Inventi Ensemble are taking their successful interactive workshops onto Zoom. In Animal Antics!, the children will learn how different animals are represented with music – which instrument is a bird, which is an elephant? For the keen dancers, Move to Music! will help them to explore how to move their bodies to classical music.

The interactive eBook, My Home, Yarra Ranges, will be launched this month. This children’s book is full of interactive games, quizzes and colourful characters, featuring animals and landscapes from the Yarra Ranges.

Online workshops will provide community members with an accessible and safe way to participate in the school holiday program during the COVID-19 restrictions.

There is something for everyone this school holidays – find out more and register on Council's School Holiday Program page.
