Many of you may have heard the news today about the COVID-19 outbreak at the Kirkbrae aged care facility in Kilsyth.
Of 80 active cases currently in the Yarra Ranges, 57 of these are linked to this centre.
Our thoughts are with the staff and residents of Kirkbrae and their families who must be feeling very concerned right now.
Today’s news is a stark reminder to all of us that we need to remain vigilant and do our part in helping slow the spread of the virus, by sticking to the State Government’s guidelines.
Remember you should only be leaving your home for the four reasons below, and only when you absolutely need to:
• to shop for food and essential goods or services
• to provide care, for compassionate reasons or to seek medical treatment
• to exercise
• for work or study, if you can’t do it from home
If you do need to leave your home, you must wear a face covering that covers both your nose and mouth.
This could come in the form of a face mask, face shield, or even a scarf.
It’s also important that we continue practicing physical distancing and regular hand hygiene throughout the day.
And please, if you’re in need of any kind of support, you can call us on 1300 368 333.
