Live acts welcome back to pop-up spaces
Published on 22 April 2021
Over the 2021 Easter School Holidays, the Healesville Pop-Up Space reconnected street performers and local artists with delighted audiences from across the shire and beyond.
From stunning cultural performances featuring West African drumming by Kofi Kunkpe Music to street performers mounting unicycles to juggle blades and fire (MaT-E-TricKs), local audiences were enthralled to see a return of live performances at the new, temporary outdoor space.
As part of Council's Place Recovery Initiative, funded by the State Government and working in partnership with the Mecca Theatre, the Healesville Pop-Up Space offers vibrant, COVID-Safe opportunities for people to come together again outdoors, interact and embrace local performers who were severely impacted by COVID-19 restrictions.
Opportunities to use this vibrant outdoor community space will remain open until June 2021, and Council invites groups and artist to get in touch about booking the space.
