Community meetings to provide storm update
Published on 25 June 2021
Council, emergency services and State Government agencies will be hosting community meetings to provide an update on storm recovery and answer residents’ questions.
Starting on Sunday, 27 June, meetings will be held at halls and public places around Yarra Ranges with representatives from Council, Bushfire Recovery Victoria, Victoria Police, the SES, the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, AusNet Services and the Department of Transport (VicRoads).
The meetings, which include some small drop-in sessions, will provide community members with a debrief on the recent weeks of storm recovery work, a look at what’s ahead, information about where to access help for various needs and a chance to ask questions of the various agencies.
The smaller drop-in sessions will feature Council and AusNet staff available to answer questions, along with Red Cross representatives to check in on community members.
This will also be an opportunity for community members to access emergency relief assistance if they have not already done so.
