As the local government elections will be held on 26 October 2024, Yarra Ranges Council will assume a caretaker role from Tuesday 17 September 2024. During the caretaker period, there will be limited changes made to the content on Council's websites. Information will only be added to this website in accordance with caretaker requirements.

Yarra Ranges community members are encouraged to take part in the 2021 Australian Liveability Census, a 15-minute survey that asks residents what they currently like in their neighbourhood, as well as what could be improved.
Three types of data will be collected from the community as part of the survey:
The survey will provide the Federal Government with information that may help attract funding for important infrastructure projects in the future for Yarra Ranges.
