Open Minds

A free social and support group in a safe and welcoming environment  for young people between 18 - 25 years who may identify as LGBTIQ+. Fortnightly meetings in Lilydale on Fridays between 4.30pm-6.30pm commencing on 6th October 2017.

Ten sessions have been planned covering a range of topics including sexual health, slam poetry, art/movement and guest speakers. We also welcome your suggestions/ideas for sessions.

Rise Up

A relaxed social and support group for young people between 14-17 years who may identify as LGBTIQ+. A place to meet fortnightly with like minded people, and feel safe.

There are 10 sessions meeting fortnightly on Thursday evenings from 4pm-5.30pm. Topics will include: coming out, transitioning, sexual health, relationships and creative fun social events.

Youth Reference Group

Are you looking for a new challenge? Take your leadership to the next level by joining the Yarra Ranges Youth Reference Group. Applications now open to young people aged 15-25, who live, work or study in Yarra Ranges to join the Youth Reference Group.
As a member of the Youth Reference Group you will:
  • learn new skills in leadership.
  • learn about Council and how it works.
  • advocate for young people in community and represent them at Council. 
  • meet new people with similar passions and interests.
  • build the tools to make a positive change in your community. 
  • have fun!
