Youth Spotlight: Lauren Galt-Smith

“I would like to move out of home with my friends.”

I am 22 and enjoy cooking and playing with my puppy Mishka. I also enjoy singing and performing with my friends at a creative arts group YourDNA, which I have been a part of for the last three years.

I am currently working with TasyAz where I get to improve my cooking skills, as well as learning the broader process including writing an ingredients list, doing the grocery shopping and then finally putting everything together in a meal. 

In the future, I hope I will be able to get my Learners permit so I can learn to drive and hopefully one day move out of home.
