Youth Mentoring

Yarra Ranges Youth offers youth mentoring programs which focus on assisting young people in reaching their full potential through positive relationships with adult mentors.

L2P Driver Mentor Program

 The L2P driver mentoring program provides opportunities for volunteers to work one on one with learner drivers aged 16-20 years who face significant barriers in obtaining their probationary drivers license. 

Can you be a mentor? You must:

  • Have a full Victorian drivers licence (cannot be on P plates)
  • Be friendly, relaxed and approachable
  • Be able to spend 1 hour per week with a young person
  • Be willing to complete the screening, training and assessment process before being matched. (Screening includes a Police Check and Working with Children’s Check.)

Other mentoring programs

Big Futures is a secondary school based program delivered by Big Brothers Big Sisters. It is offered at Sherbrook Community School, Mater Christi College and Upwey High School.
