Coronavirus (COVID-19) and council meetings

To help ensure we slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) within our workforce and the community we have made the following changes to Council meetings until further notice.

From 20 July 2022, Council Meetings will be held by video-conference.

To continue our commitment to transparency and public participation our Council Meetings will be live streamed. Please see the information below on how you can participate in a Council meeting.

Making a general submission

To make a submission at a Council Meeting regarding an item that is not listed under ‘Business Papers’ on the agenda, please complete the form below or contact the Governance team on 1300 368 333 by 5.00pm 11 days before the meeting at which you want to make your submission.

The name of each speaker and the topic of their submission will be listed on the Agenda under ‘Questions and Submissions from the Public’.

Submissions about matters already considered by Council or operational matters will not be considered.

The Governance Team will contact you about your request and will also discuss any material or presentations you want to use.  

Speaking to a business item on the agenda

Anyone wishing to speak to an item of business listed on the Council Agenda, should complete the online form below by 5.00pm on the Friday before the meeting.

Only one submitter will be registered to represent those against the item and one submitter to represent those in favour of the item (or the applicant in the case of a planning item).

This is an opportunity to present a view to Councillors and not a forum for questions or debate. Submissions should be respectful of Councillors and staff.

Livestreaming

Live streaming means that you can watch Council Meetings without being physically present.
