Badger Creek Community Plan Launch and Picnic |
We are planning a community picnic to launch our updated Community Plan. The Plan is the outcome of a community consultation process, for which we received a Small Grant last financial year. We have taken the feedback we received and will use some of the Grant money to refresh and update the design of the report, which will be available to the community online and in hard copy formats. To launch the revised plan, we plan to hold a community picnic in approximately March / April 2024 to thank the community for their participation and to thank the Council for their support. |

Montrose Community Cupboard has more than 50 volunteers who collect food, that would otherwise go to landfill, from supermarkets and bakeries in the local area (approx. 30 separate pickups weekly). Using these food donations, we would prepare and serve a nutritious two course meal to our local community one Sunday evening per month; supporting those in need, while strengthening community connections and helping the environment through our food rescue program. |
