Apply for Grants for Community

The 2019 Grants for Community round is now closed.

The Yarra Ranges Grants for Community program supports community-based projects that build the social and cultural life of the region. It is a platform for local groups, not-for-profit organisations and individuals to lead projects that identify and respond to community concerns and aspirations.

The program is also part of Council’s contribution to sustaining a connected and inclusive community.

Grant streams

Through the 2019 round applicants will share in $390,000 in funding across the following three streams: 


Community Development

Up to $10,000

The Community Development stream supports groups and organisations to deliver projects that contribute to social well being and community involvement.

Priority areas include:

  • Health and well being
  • Environment
  • Reconciliation
  • Young People
  • Children and Families

Festivals and Events

Up to $10,000


The Festivals and Events stream supports groups and organisations to deliver activities that enhance local culture, celebrate community spirit and contribute to the liveability of Yarra Ranges.

Arts and Heritage

Up to $10,000

The Arts and Heritage stream supports groups and individuals to deliver projects that develop, explore and express Yarra Ranges diverse cultural heritage, creative practice and foster opportunities for community to experience and participate.

Key dates 

Applications for the 2019 Grants for Community round will open on 1 July 2018 and close on 12 August 2018.
